Dien Bien establishes 3 National Assembly Election Committees

Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee Le Van Luong signed decisions to establish 3 Election Committees of the 16th National Assembly at election units in the province.

Each Election Committee consists of 15 members, with duties and powers according to the provisions of the Law on Election of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies.

The 16th National Assembly Election Committee at Election Unit No. 1 (including the wards: Dien Bien Phu, Muong Thanh and the communes: Muong Phang, Thanh Nua, Thanh Yen, Sam Mon, Thanh An, Nu Ngam, Muong Nha, Pu Nhi, Na Son, Xa Dung, Muong Luan, Tia Dinh, Phinh Giang). The Head of the Committee is Mr. Lo Van Cuong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Election unit No. 2 (including Muong Lay ward and the communes: Sin Thau, Muong Nhe, Muong Toong, Nam Ke, Quang Lam, Muong Cha, Na Hy, Na Bung, Si Pa Phin, Cha To, Muong Tung, Pa Ham, Na Sang, Nam Nen, Muong Pon). Mr. Nguyen Minh Phu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee is the Head of the Committee.

Election unit No. 3 (including communes: Na Tau, Bung Lao, Muong Ang, Muong Lan, Muong Mon, Chieng Sinh, Pu Nhung, Tuan Giao, Quai To, Sin Chai, Tinh Phinh, Tua Thang, Tua Chua, Sang Nhe). The Head of the Committee is Ms. Cao Thi Tuyet Lan - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council.

Also related to election work, the Election Committee of Dien Bien province issued Resolution No. 18/NQ-UBBC stipulating the list of elected units and the number of delegates of the 16th Provincial People's Council, term 2026-2031.

Accordingly, Dien Bien province has a total of 11 units electing provincial People's Council delegates. The number of delegates elected at each unit is 3-5 delegates.
