Dien Bien welcomes 10 remains of volunteer martyrs from Laos to motherland
Dien Bien - On December 30, the locality held a ceremony to receive the remains of 10 Vietnamese volunteer martyrs who died in Laos in the first phase of the 2025-2026 dry season.
Of the 10 remains of Vietnamese volunteer martyrs sacrificed in Laos that were handed over by the Military Region II Martyrs' Tomb Collection Team this time, there are 8 martyrs' remains that do not meet the identification factors and 2 remains have been identified.
Immediately after the handover ceremony, the remains of the martyrs were solemnly brought back to the Tong Khao Martyrs' Cemetery Management House (Thanh Nua Commune).
The ceremony to receive the remains of martyrs demonstrates the morality of "Remembering the source of water when drinking", "Retitude of gratitude" of the Party, State and people towards the outstanding children of the nation who did not spare their blood and bones, heroically sacrificed for the revolutionary cause, for noble international obligations.
According to the plan, the memorial service and burial of the remains of the Vietnamese volunteer martyrs who died in Laos will be solemnly held at Tong Khao Martyrs' Cemetery on December 31.
