Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training warns of tuition refund scams
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has sent notices to schools in the area to warn about the method of refunding tuition fees.
Recently, some parents in Ho Chi Minh City have been called or received fraudulent messages through the trick of impersonating employees of departments, schools, and schools to request documents to refund tuition fees according to the regulations of the Politburo.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training recommends that all parents and students do not listen to strange messages or phones to fulfill their requests.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that the department currently does not have any guiding documents related to tuition refunds.
The Department noted that the instructions for implementing tuition refund activities (if any) will be notified by the Department and instructed in writing to the schools. From there, the school and teachers informed each parent.
Previously, on February 28, the Politburo decided to exempt tuition fees for students from preschool to all public high schools nationwide from the 2025-2026 school year.
