People easily pay fines via iHanoi

To carry out administrative reform and digital transformation, Hanoi City Police have deployed a comprehensive handling of administrative violations in the field of road traffic order and safety (TTATGT) in the electronic environment through the iHanoi application.

Accordingly, from December 13, 2025, the Hanoi Traffic Control Center will officially come into operation. The Center's AI analysis server system is synchronously connected with the road motor vehicle management system and the National Population Database.

Thanks to that, the Traffic Police force can detect, identify vehicle owners and handle traffic safety violations completely in the electronic environment.

For violations of road traffic safety detected through the AI Camera system, people can choose one of the following two forms of handling violations:

First, go directly to the headquarters of the Traffic Police Teams to work.

Second, online processing in the electronic environment through the iHanoi application, without having to go to the police.

Regarding the process of handling traffic safety violations via the iHanoi application, the Traffic Command and Traffic Light Control Team (Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police) provides specific instructions on the following implementation steps:

Step 1: Notice of violation

After detecting the violation, the system will send information and images of the violation to the vehicle owner via the iHanoi application.

Step 2: Look up information about violations

People access the iHanoi application, go to the "Traffic - cooling fine notification" section to see detailed information and images of traffic safety violations.

In case of disagreement with the information and images of the violation: people can go directly to the police agency to check and compare.

In case of agreement with the information and images of the violation: the people confirm the violation in the entire system.

Step 3: Make and sign a record of administrative violations

Based on the confirmation of the violator, the police agency drew up a record of the administrative violation and sent it back to the violator on iHanoi.

The violator checks, compares information, signs the number on the record and sends it back to the system.

Step 4: Receive the penalty decision

Based on the confirmed record, the police agency issued a decision to sanction administrative violations and sent it to violators via the iHanoi application.

Step 5: Pay the fine online

The violator re-chesks the information (individual, violation, penalty level, etc.) and pays the fine via the QR code integrated on the system.

Step 6: Complete handling of violations

After successful payment, the system displays the fine receipt and automatically sends it to the police.

The competent authority checks and confirms that the violator has complied with the penalty decision; at the same time:

issue a decision to return exhibits and means (if any);

Remove the inspection notification for cars.

The entire process is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Handling of Administrative Violations.

Handling comprehensive administrative violations in the field of road traffic safety on the iHanoi application is an important step forward in digital transformation and administrative reform.

People do not have to go directly to the police, reducing travel time and arising costs, while contributing to transparency and simplifying procedures in handling traffic safety violations.
