Newly graduated financial and banking students' salaries are up to 20 million VND/month

The above information was shared by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Deputy Director of the Banking Academy at the "Jovial Fair - Bridge connecting human resources" 2025 of the Banking Academy, April 22.

According to Mr. Phuong, the starting salary for personnel in the finance and banking sector is generally 10 million and can increase to 15-20 million VND. However, personnel who demonstrate their capacity and receive salary based on work results can receive higher.

"Financial - banking salary is leading in the economic sector. This is an attractive opportunity for students when choosing to study this major" - Mr. Phuong said.

However, Mr. Phuong also noted that students in this major are currently facing greater pressure than the previous period due to reduced number of job positions. Therefore, students must strive to improve their knowledge and skills, especially the interdisciplinary nature during their studies at school, which always requires students to strive to equip themselves with multi-disciplinary knowledge to meet all situations.

On the side of the Banking Academy, the unit has also proactively included subjects in the curriculum to improve students' digital capacity. At the same time, the academy focuses on training AI skills; proactively introducing compulsory subjects such as: Digital Banking, data analysis in business, data analysis subjects, etc., which are more in-depth subjects on AI technology so that students can meet the needs of the new situation.

Thanks to the above changes, the number of graduates with jobs in the right major at the Banking Academy still reaches over 90%.

"The school also reminds students to constantly learn and have more practical experience because studying in books alone will not be able to meet the requirements at businesses" - Mr. Phuong said.

The Job Fair - a bridge for human resources has been organized by the Banking Academy since 2012. This is an annual activity of the academy with the desire to introduce training majors, high-quality training products as well as help students have the opportunity to interact with businesses and banks, thereby seeking early recruitment opportunities while still in school.

This year, 30 businesses participated and tens of thousands of students from the Banking Academy and universities in Hanoi attended.
