Dien Bien - The province agreed to reduce from 129 commune-level administrative units (ADUs) to 45 (42 communes and 3 wards).

On April 22, the People's Committee of Dien Bien province held an April meeting to give opinions on the Project on rearranging and reorganizing administrative units at the commune level (2nd time - after receiving opinions from the people).

Accordingly, the commune-level administrative unit plan after the arrangement was agreed to be 45 units (42 communes and 3 wards), a reduction of 84 units, equivalent to a reduction of 65.1%.

At the meeting, Mr. Le Thanh Do - Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee - requested the Department of Home Affairs to urgently complete the plan and submit a plan to reorganize and reorganize the commune-level administrative units.
