Opportunity to be admitted to the National Economics University with IELTS from 5.5

On March 28, the National Economics University announced university admission information for 2025.

This year, the school recruited 73 major codes/training program, an increase of 7 codes compared to 2024. The total university admission quota is 8,200. Of which, the regular university system is 8,200; the regular university inter-level program is 30000.

Compared to 2024 (total target is 7,950), the total target for 2025 of the National Economics University will increase by about 6%.

The admission method remains the same as in 2024, including: Direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training: 3% of the total quota; admission according to the 2025 high school graduation exam scores and combined admission: 97% of the quota.

With the admission method based on high school graduation exam results, the school has stopped 5 admission combinations compared to 2024, with only 4 combinations including A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Math, Physics, English), D01 (Math, Literature, English), D07 (Math, Chemistry, English), there is no difference in admission scores between combinations.

With combined admission, the school recruits 3 groups of candidates. Group 1 includes candidates with a SAT score of 1,200 points or higher or an ACT of 26 points or higher.

Group 2 consists of candidates who achieve HSA (testing test of Hanoi National University) from 85 points or more or APT (test assessment test of Ho Chi Minh City National University) from 700 points or more or TSA (Test to assess thinking of Hanoi University of Technology) from 60 points or more; Or candidates with international English certificates that achieve IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL IBT 46 or TOEIC (4 Skills: Listening and Reading 785, Speaking 160 and Writing 150) or above combined with HSA/APT/TSA points mentioned above.

Group 3 includes candidates with an international English certificate of IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 46 or TOEIC (4 skills: Listening and Reading 785, Speaking 160, Writing 150) or higher combined with the 2025 high school graduation exam score of Mathematics and 1 other English subject in the school's admission combinations.

The determination of the conversion rule equivalent to the input threshold will be announced immediately after the Ministry of Education and Training issues instructions.

The implementation of the admission score between the admission methods and the admission complex will be announced by the school at the latest at the time of announcing the threshold of input quality assurance according to the general plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, expected after the results of high school graduation exam in 2025.

This year, the National Economics University also announced the expected tuition fee for the full-time university training program from 15 to 18 million VND. The roadmap for increasing tuition fees by a maximum of 10%/year according to regulations.
