Ministry of Home Affairs requests review of all cases of resignation under Decree 178
The Ministry of Home Affairs requests ministries, agencies, and localities to review all cases of resignation according to Decree 178/2024/ND-CP.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has just sent an official dispatch to ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities on the implementation of the State Audit's opinions related to resolving policies and regimes according to Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP.
This is to implement the direction of Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra in Document No. 8183/VPCP-TCCV dated August 14, 2026 of the Government Office on the audit results of the implementation of policies and regimes for cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees in the process of arranging the organizational structure of the political system according to Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP dated December 31, 2024 (amended and supplemented in Decree No. 67/2025/ND-CP dated March 15, 2025).
The Ministry of Home Affairs requests ministries, agencies, and localities to conduct a comprehensive review and be responsible for the results of policy settlement for cases where localities have decided to dismiss them according to the provisions of Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP (amended and supplemented in Decree No. 67/2025/ND-CP), ensuring the right subjects, in the correct order and procedures according to the provisions of this Decree.
At the same time, ministries, agencies, and localities shall perform tasks according to the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra in Clause 1, Clause 2 of Document No. 8183/VPCP-TCCV mentioned above.
For Ministries, agencies, and localities mentioned in Clause 1 of Document No. 8183/VPCP-TCCV, the Ministry of Home Affairs requests to provide information on recommendations and conclusions of the State Audit Office on related contents; clarify the responsibilities of each relevant agency and organization in identifying subjects and complying with the order and procedures for resolving retirement policies for each case according to the provisions of Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP (amended and supplemented in Decree No. 67/2025/ND-CP) and the guidance document of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Based on the authority to decide and resolve retirement policies according to the provisions of Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP (amended and supplemented in Decree No. 67/2025/ND-CP), the Ministry of Home Affairs requests ministries, agencies, and localities to have specific opinions on each case mentioned in Report No. 1212/BC-KTNN of the State Audit Office.
In the process of conducting a general review, inspection, and examination of the above-mentioned implementation results, in case errors are detected, ministries, agencies, and localities shall report specifically and have timely remedial plans in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP (amended and supplemented in Decree No. 67/2025/ND-CP) and guiding documents of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
In case problems arise, it is requested to report clearly for the Ministry of Home Affairs to summarize and report to competent authorities according to regulations.
Reports from Ministries, agencies, and localities should be sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs before September 15, 2026 for the Ministry of Home Affairs to summarize and report to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision.
