Dong Thap - The "Corporate Trade Union Cadre" Club will be launched in Workers' Month 2026.

The Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation has just issued a plan to organize a conference to establish the "Corporate Trade Union Cadre Club" model in industrial parks and economic zones of Dong Thap. The model is implemented based on the Resolutions of the Central Government and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on renovating trade union organizations and activities in the new situation, associated with the goal of building a strong trade union organization for the term 2025 - 2030.

According to the plan, the participants are the Chairman, Vice Chairman and Member of the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union in industrial parks. Each unit appoints 2 officials to participate, prioritizing those with a sense of responsibility and dedication to trade union activities.

It is expected that in May 2026, on the occasion of Workers' Month and towards the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Trade Union of industrial parks and economic zones of Dong Thap will establish 3 model clubs in Tan Huong, Long Giang and Sa Dec industrial parks.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones of Dong Thap said that clubs will hold regular activities once a quarter, with content closely following reality. “This will be a forum for trade union officials to meet, exchange experiences, share difficulties, and at the same time reflect recommendations and proposals related to the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers,” Mr. Nhan shared.

From this activity, the Trade Union organization has an important information channel to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers, promptly coordinate to solve problems arising right from the grassroots level. Contents on labor law and related policies will also be propagated and disseminated directly to union members.

A noteworthy point is that clubs will establish online information groups to update and quickly handle problems arising at businesses, contributing to increasing connectivity and operational efficiency.

This model is expected to aim to improve the quality of the Trade Union official team, while contributing to preventing labor disputes, maintaining stable labor relations and the production and business environment in industrial parks. After the pilot phase, the model will be evaluated and learned from experience to be replicated throughout the area, thereby creating clear changes in trade union organization and activities, meeting the requirements in the new situation.
