Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Do Tran Thinh said that when merging the province, there are advantages and difficulties intertwined and each union cadre needs to raise awareness to turn difficulties into opportunities. In activities, it is necessary to flexibly adapt and make substantial innovations, not just promote and wear slogans, reduce forms to increase efficiency.

In 2026, the Provincial Federation of Labor also set out tasks and solutions for union activities to truly have a stronger transition. Coordinate with relevant agencies to inspect and supervise compliance with labor laws and policies for employees on labor, wages, social insurance; quality of shift meals, occupational safety and hygiene... Timely grasp and forecast the situation of labor relations, prevent and participate in resolving labor disputes and collective work stoppages.

Organize activities to care for the practical benefits and welfare of union members and workers, especially during the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026 and care for union members and workers in boarding houses and enterprises with a large number of workers. Launch the Management Board of the Fund to Support Union Members and Workers, promptly implement the program to support housing at the Trade Union Shelter, support union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with serious illnesses, and having work-related accidents...

Advising the Provincial Party Committee to establish a Steering Committee to build a Trade Union organization in non-state economic sector enterprises. Signing the Regulation to coordinate with Party committees under the Provincial Party Committee and local Party committees in coordinating surveys to grasp the situation of union members and workers, developing union members, and establishing grassroots unions.

Continue to innovate and improve the quality of emulation movements to create a widespread, practical and effective emulation environment. Implement the "Digital Initiative" Program, direct the affiliated trade unions to select works, products, and tasks with socio-economic value, with political significance, bringing practical benefits to the lives and jobs of union members and employees or contributing to the community and society to register for implementation and attach signs to works, products, and tasks to celebrate the Party Congress, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, and the Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
