Focus on implementing the union congress resolution
Since the beginning of the year, the Vietnam National Shipping Lines Trade Union has stepped up the task of "Focusing on bringing the union congress resolution into life".
On September 3, Mr. Le Phan Linh - Chairman of the Vietnam National Shipping Lines Trade Union said that at the conferences, the Corporation's Trade Union integrated to convey information about the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the 6th Congress of the Corporation's Trade Union, resolutions and action programs to implement the Congress Resolution to a large number of union members and employees of the units.
With 52/60 units having organized labor conferences in the first months of 2024, the number of union members and employees of the Corporation's Trade Union who have accessed and communicated about the Congress Resolution has reached more than 20,000 people (out of a total of more than 23,000 employees).
The Corporation's Trade Union has also studied, developed and issued an Action Program to implement the Congress Resolution, 2 programs out of a total of 8 programs expected to be issued in the first half of the term, including the Program to promote trade union communication work, the Trade Union Program to participate in building and implementing corporate culture.
In the first 8 months of 2024, more than 11,570 union members and employees were propagandized, disseminated, studied, and thoroughly understood the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's policies and laws related to labor and trade unions (reaching 61% of the annual target); the trade union participated in encouraging over 6,990 union members and employees to participate in long-term and short-term training, training courses, and training courses to improve their professional qualifications, skills, foreign languages, information technology, and skills (reaching 48% of the annual target).
The Corporation's Trade Union has also focused on promoting the work of propagating and developing union members, mobilizing the establishment of trade unions in non-state enterprises; launching a peak period of developing union members from May to the end of July 2024. As a result, up to now, a 100% Japanese-owned grassroots trade union and a non-state-owned grassroots trade union have been established; 592 new union members have been developed.
