2 resolutions on developing organization and caring for union members, along with a number of other important activities, have just been approved at the 5th Conference of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), 13th tenure.
The 5th Conference of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term XIII, recently held in Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa) has completed the proposed contents.
6 key contents approved
Through discussion and contributing many enthusiastic, specific and highly practical statements from the delegates, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor unanimously approved 6 contents.
Specifically, through the report on the results of trade union activities in the first 6 months of the year, key tasks for the last 6 months of 2024.
Resolution of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on promoting the development of union members and establishing grassroots unions in non-state enterprises by 2028, with a vision to 2033.
Resolution of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on "Focusing resources on caring for the welfare of union members and workers in the new situation".
Program of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on "Improving the effectiveness of dialogue and collective bargaining, period 2023 - 2028".
The program builds a team of grassroots union chairmen to meet the requirements of the task, especially non-state enterprise union chairmen.
Report on inspection and supervision work of trade unions at all levels in the first 6 months of the year and work program for the last 6 months of 2024.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, there have been many enthusiastic, specific, and highly practical comments on the above contents. The Presidium also had a comprehensive report on receiving and explaining the contents with different opinions and assigned relevant departments to complete them for promulgation.
Completing the Executive Committee of the General Confederation
At the 5th Conference, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor agreed not to issue a Comprehensive Digital Transformation Program in trade union activities to focus on implementing the Digital Transformation Project in trade union activities for the period 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030.
At the same time, implement the 2024 planning work process for the positions of Executive Committee Member, Inspection Committee Member and positions in the Executive Committee of the General Confederation for the 2023 - 2028 term, and the 2028 - 2023 term.
Elected 2 comrades to the Executive Committee of the 13th General Confederation of Labor, term 2023 - 2028, including: Comrade Dang Ngoc Anh - Provincial Party Committee member, Chairman of the Phu Yen Provincial Federation of Labor; Comrade Vo Khac Thai - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor.
Speaking at the closing session of the conference, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang suggested: Focus all resources on developing union members, establishing grassroots unions, and grassroots unions, especially in non-state enterprises. The peak implementation period in July is the peak month.
