Trade union organizes "Childhood Festival" for 1,200 children of workers and laborers

On June 28, the grassroots Trade Union of Shyang Hung Cheng Co., Ltd. (Thuan An ward, Ho Chi Minh City) organized the program "Childhood Day" for children of workers and laborers.

Attending the program were Ms. Mai Thanh Thao - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of Working Group No. 4 for local management of Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation; Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Yen Huong - Head of Human Resources Department of Shyang Hung Cheng Co., Ltd., Mr. Mai Thanh Tuyen - Chairman of the company's grassroots Trade Union, along with workers, laborers and more than 1,200 children.

At the program, the grassroots Trade Union of Shyang Hung Cheng Co., Ltd. presented scholarships to more than 1,200 children of workers and laborers working at the company. Each child was awarded a scholarship of 300,000 VND and a certificate of merit.

At the program, the company's grassroots trade union organized many activities for workers' children to have fun such as: sauna, painting statues, sand painting, tug-of-war, hitting piggy banks, throwing cans, stealing flags, kicking balls into goal, sack jumping, blindfolded duck catching, throwing balls into buckets.

The company's grassroots trade union said that this program is one of the activities to care for union members and workers. Through the program, encourage and motivate workers' children to strive to study.

Speaking at the program, Ms. Mai Thanh Thao - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of Area Management Working Group No. 4 of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, highly appreciated the program being organized on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Vietnamese Family Day. This is a meaningful activity, contributing to effectively caring for the lives of workers. Thereby, supporting workers to care for and encourage their children to study hard and achieve good results.
