Ward unions in Da Nang spend more than 2.7 billion VND to take care of union members and workers

On January 22, Hai Chau Ward Trade Union held a conference to summarize the union's work in 2025 and deploy directions and tasks for 2026.

Reporting at the conference, in 2025, the Hai Chau Ward Trade Union will carry out many activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.

During the year, nearly 6,500 workers and civil servants received periodic health check-ups, and allowances for union members and workers in difficult circumstances and suffering from serious illnesses, with a total amount of more than 2.7 billion VND. The ward union coordinated to organize "Union member welfare" programs with 7 enterprises. The work of developing union members and establishing trade unions has received attention, in the year, 11 new grassroots trade unions were established, and 460 new members were developed.

In 2026, the Ward Trade Union will focus on innovating the content and methods of operation; propagating and concretizing the Resolution of the Party Congress, the Fatherland Front, and the Trade Union at all levels; coordinating with the government to organize conferences for cadres, workers, civil servants, and laborers; effectively implementing Directive No. 05 - CT/TW of the Politburo on promoting the study and practice of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style.

Implement 3 breakthrough programs during the term; organize care for union members in difficult circumstances, those suffering from serious illnesses, and work-related accidents; train and foster grassroots union officials to meet the requirements and tasks of the organization in the new term; improve the effectiveness of organizing campaigns; strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of policies and laws for union members and workers.

At the program, the Da Nang City Labor Federation commended 6 collectives and 3 individuals; the Chairman of the Ward People's Committee commended 15 collectives and 10 individuals with good achievements in completing union work in 2025 and presented support to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
