Sharing difficulties with workers constructing power projects in Con Dao

On June 18, Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, led by Mr. Do Duc Hung - Chairman of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, in coordination with Soc Trang Provincial Labor Federation, organized a working delegation to visit, encourage and give gifts to union members and workers constructing the Power Supply Project for Con Dao district (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province).

The delegation was present in Con Dao district (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) to learn about working conditions and workers' lives and acknowledge the positive working spirit of the construction force in complex weather conditions and terrain both at sea and on land.

In order to promptly encourage the spirit of union members and workers, the delegation presented gifts to 4 groups with a total value of 110 million VND. This is a practical sharing, encouraging the spirit of the team of workers who are making efforts to implement key projects to contribute to the socio-economic development of the island region.

This activity is included in plan 7089/KH-TLD-EVN dated December 8, 2024 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Vietnam Electricity Group to launch an emulation movement to accelerate the investment and construction progress of EVN's key projects in 2025. This includes coordination with trade unions at all levels and local authorities in site clearance, propaganda, mobilization of people, construction support and care for union members and workers.

The National Power Supply System Project for Con Dao District is one of 7 key projects of EVN in 2025, located in Soc Trang and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces. This is a particularly important project to ensure stable and continuous power supply to the outpost district of the Fatherland, contributing to socio-economic development and maintaining regional security and defense.
