Binh Phuoc supports 488,366 workers with an amount of over 161 billion VND

Determining that the workforce plays an important role in the socio-economic development of the locality, in 2022, the Standing Committee of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee issued Conclusion No. 391-KL/TU. This is a policy that demonstrates the Party's concern, leadership and direction for the Trade Union organization in caring for workers' lives, period 2021-2025.

The Binh Phuoc Provincial Federation of Labor said that, implementing the above policy, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor has issued and implemented the Project to coordinate with departments, branches and sectors to implement many programs, projects, institutions, mechanisms, policies, and practical and effective activities.

Trade unions at all levels in the province have strengthened the care and protection of the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers.

Accordingly, the unit organized job introduction, training, and legal propaganda. Proposal to improve the quality of shift meals, improve the working environment, and take care of the health of workers. Build a harmonious relationship between employees and employers. Visit, give gifts and organize cultural and sports activities, support the construction and repair of Trade Union Shelters and Great Unity Houses for workers.

To date, jobs have been created for more than 160,000 workers (reaching 80% of the target), the rate of trained workers has reached 85.7%. The rate of enterprises with trade unions for dialogue, negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements reached 102.5%.

Trade unions at all levels have introduced 5,481 outstanding union members for the Party to consider, train and admit (reaching 273.9% of the target). Of which, 2,001 people were admitted to the Party.

Support the construction of 117 new units and repair of 15 Trade Union Shelters for union members with difficult housing circumstances, worth more than 5 billion VND (117% of the target).

The target for union members and workers in difficult circumstances who are eligible for support from the Provincial Trade Union Social Fund is 100%. Of which, 488,366 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, serious illnesses, work accidents, affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, etc. were cared for with a total amount of over 161 billion VND.

According to Chairwoman of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Thi Huong Giang, Conclusion No. 391-KL/TU of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee has strongly changed the awareness of Party committees and authorities at all levels about caring for workers' lives.

The role of the workers' movement and trade union activities in the new situation has been recognized and highly appreciated. Many policies and guidelines on employment, housing, kindergartens, cultural institutions, ensuring labor safety and health of workers have been implemented. The meeting, contact, and dialogue between Party committees, authorities, businesses and workers... have been enhanced, and workers have been given more care.

Trade unions at all levels have been proactive and creative in advising and proposing policies and solutions to innovate trade union activities. Resolutely issuing programs and plans, focusing resources on caring for and protecting the rights of workers.
