Admitting 158,028 union members in 2 years
Bac Ninh is one of the 5 provinces with the largest number of union members and grassroots unions nationwide. The work of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions has always been of interest and focus to all levels of trade unions in recent times.
Determining that the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions is a key and continuous task of the Trade Union organization, one of three breakthroughs in the period of 2023-2025, every year, the Provincial Federation of Labor (PFF) has directed and promoted the work of surveying enterprises and workers to assign targets for developing union members, establishing grassroots unions and include them in the criteria for consideration, scoring and year-end rewards for units. Over the past 2 years, trade unions at all levels have established 488 grassroots trade unions; admitted 158,028 union members. In 2025 alone, over 124,000 union members were admitted and from July 1, 2025 to now, 108 new grassroots unions have been established.
Currently, the Provincial Federation of Labor manages 2,148 grassroots unions with 578,488 union members, making it one of the five provinces with the largest number of union members and grassroots unions nationwide.
In September 2025, the New wing Company Limited Trade Union admitted more than 2,000 union members, including 300 foreign workers. That is a clear demonstration of the growth of the New wing Company Limited Trade Union and a bright spot in the trade union activities of Bac Ninh province, demonstrating the pioneering, integration and international spirit of the Vietnamese working class.
Along with the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions, the work of building a strong union organization and improving the quality of activities is highly focused on by trade unions at all levels in the province with many practical and synchronous solutions. Every year, the number of grassroots trade unions that have completed their tasks well and excellently has increased, an average of 85.7%. The work of arranging and streamlining the apparatus was carried out early. The work of planning, introducing cadres for candidates, appointments, mobilization and implementation of cadre policies has been implemented in accordance with regulations.
The Provincial Federation of Labor directed trade unions at all levels to organize 168 training courses to foster trade union skills and professional skills for 26,682 union officials; organize 3 training courses for nearly 500 reporters, propagandists and public opinion collaborators at the grassroots level on the method of grasping information and orienting public opinion among workers in non-state enterprises; organize 52 communication conferences for 21,981 union members and workers on traffic safety, prevention and control of fraud and property appropriation in cyberspace, Labor Code, gender equality with content and form suitable to the practical situation of each agency, unit and enterprise, thereby improving the quality of the trade union staff, basically meeting the requirements of the current period.
From 2023 to present, trade unions at all levels have introduced 7,395 outstanding union members for the Party to consider, train and admit to the Communist Party of Vietnam.
