From November 11, 2026, forging data verification results will be fined up to 160 million VND

Clause 3, Article 15, Decree 363/2026/ND-CP stipulating penalties for administrative violations in the field of data (effective from November 11, 2026) stipulates a fine of 60 million VND to 80 million VND for one of the following acts:

a) Forging data confirmation and authentication results; erasing, correcting, or intervening in confirmed and authenticated data;

b) Using tools, software, systems to create fake authentication results, bypassing or breaking the legal authentication mechanism;

c) Taking advantage of data confirmation and authentication activities to conceal violations, create false information or serve acts of profiteering;

d) Providing data verification and authentication services when not meeting the conditions according to the provisions of law.

Clause 2, Article 6, Decree 363/2026/ND-CP stipulates that the fine level specified in Chapter II of this Decree is the fine level applied to administrative violations of individuals, except for cases specified in point b, clause 1, Article 8; Article 9; Article 10; clause 2, Article 13 and clause 4, Article 16 of this Decree is the fine level for organizations. The fine level for organizations is equal to 2 times the fine level for individuals.

Thus, from November 11, 2026, the act of forging data confirmation and authentication results may be fined up to 80 million VND for individuals and 160 million VND for organizations.
