Public lawyers working 4 hours are rewarded 1,265,000 VND

Clause 1, Article 23, Decree 364/2026/ND-CP detailing a number of articles and measures to implement Resolution No. 24/2026/QH16 of the National Assembly on piloting the implementation of the public lawyer institution (effective from October 1, 2026), stipulates as follows: A working session of a public lawyer according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 10 of the Resolution is calculated as 4 hours. If the actual working time is not enough or exceeds 4 hours, it is calculated according to the corresponding ratio to serve as a basis for compensation payment.

Clause 2, Article 10, Resolution No. 24/2026/QH16 of the National Assembly stipulates the regime and policies for public lawyers as follows: Public lawyers when participating in resolving cases of legal nature are entitled to allowances according to cases. The allowance level paid for 01 working session is 0.5 times the base salary.

According to the provisions of Decree 161/2026/ND-CP stipulating the base salary and bonus regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces, from July 1, 2026, the base salary is 2.53 million VND/month.

Thus, the allowance paid for 1 working session of a fair lawyer is 1,265,000 VND (0.5 x 2.53 million VND).
