Touching TV bridge "Shining Stars Lead the Way" at Le Thi Rieng Park

On the evening of July 26, at Le Thi Rieng Park (HCMC), Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the working delegation of the Party and State attended the live television broadcast "Sao Sang Guidanh Duong" to celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026).

Also attending at the bridge point were Politburo Member, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai; General Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, Head of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Politburo Member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the National Steering Committee 515 Pham Thi Thanh Tra; Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh.

Attending the program at the Ho Chi Minh City bridge point were representatives of the Government, Committees of the National Assembly, ministries, departments, and branches; leaders of the City Party Committee, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; heads of Military Region 7 Command, Ho Chi Minh City Command and veterans and relatives of martyrs.

The "Sao Sang Guidanh Duong" television bridge is organized at four locations including: the Stele to commemorate the heroic martyrs of Thanh Thuy commune (Tuyen Quang), Bac Son Monument (Hanoi), National Martyrs' Cemetery of Road 9 (Quang Tri) and Le Thi Rieng Park (HCMC).

The main bridge point is located at Le Thi Rieng Park - a place identified as showing signs of being a mass grave of many officers and soldiers who bravely sacrificed themselves in the General Offensive and Uprising of Spring Mau Than 1968.

From July 6, Ho Chi Minh City will deploy the work of searching, repatriating and identifying martyrs' remains in the park area.

By the end of July 24, the search and repatriation force of martyrs' remains of the Ho Chi Minh City Command had repatriated 101 sets of martyrs' remains and 5 clusters of martyrs' remains in the Le Thi Rieng Park area.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Command, in the coming time, functional forces will continue to expand the scope of survey and excavation at Le Thi Rieng Park to search for and repatriate the remains of the remaining martyrs.
