Building a strategy for developing high-end tourism product lines
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh requested the development of appropriate tourism product development strategies, focusing on high-end tourism product lines.
The Government Office issued Notice No. 34/TB-VPCP on the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh at the meeting of the State Steering Committee on Tourism.
According to the conclusion notice, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh assigned the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) to preside over and coordinate with ministries, agencies and localities to focus on implementing tasks and solutions according to the resolutions of the Party, the Government and the direction of the Prime Minister; focus on restructuring the tourism market, improving the quality and competitiveness of Vietnam's tourism.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and branches to propose amendments, supplements or the cancellation of no longer suitable regulations, creating an open legal corridor, creating a driving force for development.
At the same time, research and grasp the trends and needs of tourists to build appropriate tourism product development strategies, focusing on high-end tourism product lines with high added value such as: green tourism, health care tourism, MICE tourism, golf tourism; focus on exploiting international tourist markets with high spending and long stays.
Research and advise on breakthrough policies to remove institutional and resource bottlenecks; encourage innovation, digital transformation and green transformation in tourism.
Advising on supplementing and adjusting the Tourism System Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2045, to ensure compliance with the planning of urban and rural systems and the arrangement of administrative units, creating new development space for tourism.
The Ministry of Public Security continues to strengthen solutions to apply information technology and digital transformation to improve the process and procedures for issuing electronic visas; simplify and speed up the process of controlling entry and exit at border gates, creating maximum convenience for tourists.
Preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to propose more open visa policies; focusing on researching and proposing to expand the unilateral visa exemption for large and potential tourist markets, in order to attract high-quality tourists to Vietnam.
The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to step up the provision of information and propaganda about Vietnam's visa policies to international friends.
Research and propose opinions on amending relevant legal documents to facilitate the effective implementation of Vietnam's tourism promotion and promotion policies abroad.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade will step up the direction of integrating Vietnamese tourism brand and image promotion activities into international trade promotion programs, fairs and exhibitions.
The Ministry of Construction continues to prioritize investment resources in developing strategic infrastructure, transport infrastructure and infrastructure connecting directly to national tourist areas and destinations; ensuring consistency, modernity, creating seamless and convenient connections for tourists to travel.
The People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities proactively review, adjust planning, develop tourism development projects in accordance with local realities and regional planning orientations.
There are policies to attract strategic investors and large enterprises to invest in technical facilities, high-class entertainment and resort areas.
