General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and his wife, watched a traditional art performance program.
On the morning of April 24, in Hanoi, General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly chaired a special friendship program at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, a relic complex associated with the history of Thang Long Hanoi capital, during the state visit to Vietnam by South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and his wife Kim Hye Kyung from April 21. 4.
The theme of the Program is: "Thang Long: Thousand-year spirit, depth of civilization" to honor the historical depth and cultural identity of Thang Long - Hanoi, and at the same time convey the message of the continuation of tradition, the harmonious intersection between the past and present, as well as the spirit of friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and countries around the world.
At Thang Long Imperial Citadel, welcoming the delegation was the sound of the festival drum playing to open the ceremony, recalling the traditional court music ceremony which is a symbol of solemnity and prosperity, with a traditional lion dance performance meaning wishing good luck, symbolizing peace and prosperity, often appearing in important national holidays.
In a friendly and intimate atmosphere, filled with friendship, General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and his wife, moved to Doan Mon Gate. This is one of the main city gates leading to Thang Long Forbidden City - the residence and activity of 52 ancient emperors and royal families for 800 consecutive years.

Next, General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and his wife, visited the "Thousand Years of Thang Long - Hanoi History from the Heart of the Earth" Exhibition Room and the "Thang Long Imperial Palace Treasures" Exhibition Room, which is a place to display some artifacts recognized as "National Treasures".
At the Kinh Thien main hall space, General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and his wife, listened to the introduction of the meaning of this area, which is the place where the king and high-ranking officials discussed national affairs, held court ceremonies, received foreign ambassadors and held important court ceremonies for 800 years in the capital Thang Long.

Opening with the Xoan singing performance, a traditional art form originating from Phu Tho region, associated with the belief in worshiping Hung Kings, the first kings of Vietnam.

The closing performance of the art program is the Luc Chung Hoa Dang Dance performance, an ancient ritual dance, expressing respect and wishing for national peace and prosperity.
