Phu Tho Plan sets a budget revenue target of 85,000 billion VND in 2030
On April 14, Phu Tho Provincial Electronic Information Portal said that the Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the adjustment of the Plan for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.
According to the plan, the goal by 2030 is for Phu Tho to become one of the growth poles of the Capital region and the Northern Midlands and Mountains region; and at the same time a center for industrial, commercial, logistics, tourism, health, high-quality training and organizing major cultural festivals associated with national origins.
The province aims for a rapidly growing economy, based on science and technology, innovation, digital transformation and the private economy; synchronous and modern infrastructure; people's lives are improved, the ecological environment is sustainable, and national defense and security are guaranteed.
Regarding specific targets, in the period 2026 - 2030, the province's GRDP strives to increase by an average of 11 - 12%/year; the scale of the economy by 2030 is more than double that of 2025. The economic structure shifts towards services accounting for about 36.3%, industry - construction 55.4%, agriculture, forestry, and fishery 8.3%; digital economy reaches over 30% of GRDP. Urbanization rate reaches 35 - 40%; state budget revenue increases by over 10%/year, striving to reach over 85,000 billion VND by 2030.
Social indicators continue to improve, with HDI reaching 0.78; average life expectancy 76 years old; the rate of trained workers reaching 80-85%; average income per capita over 8.7 million VND/month; 100% of the population participating in health insurance. The province sets a basic target of no more poor households by 2030; over 85% of communes meeting new rural standards.
In the field of environment and infrastructure, Phu Tho strives for 100% of the urban population to be supplied with clean water, over 95% of the rural population to use standard clean water; 100% of urban solid waste is collected and treated to meet standards, rural areas reach over 85%; all industrial parks and clusters have wastewater treatment systems that meet standards; maintain a forest cover rate of 42.5%.
Vision to 2050, Phu Tho aims to become a centrally-run city, in the group of leading developed localities in the country, a modern industrial - commercial - logistics center, deeply integrated into the global supply chain.
The province will develop a synchronous infrastructure system, prosperous society, cultural industry to become a new economic pillar; green, clean, and beautiful living environment; political security and social order and safety will be maintained.
Previously, on the afternoon of January 14, Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee held a conference to announce the adjustment of the Provincial Plan for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050, with specific targets as mentioned above.
To realize the goal, the province identifies development breakthroughs including: Building synchronous socio-economic infrastructure, prioritizing digital infrastructure; strongly reforming administrative procedures, removing obstacles in site clearance; developing high-quality human resources, promoting innovation and digital transformation.
In addition, 5 key tasks are proposed, including: Shaping the space for open urban development, connecting landscape axes and large urban areas; innovating growth models, attracting investment in high-tech fields such as semiconductor and artificial intelligence; developing regional connecting transport and logistics infrastructure; building mechanisms to attract and train high-quality human resources; and developing culture and people to become the foundation and endogenetic driving force for sustainable growth.
