Hanoi prepares to start construction of West Lake lakeside road, Safari Park

Implementing the direction of the City Party Committee, the Party Committee and City People's Committee have directed the City People's Committee to assign city departments and branches, and relevant investors to review investment projects that meet the conditions for commencement and inauguration (technical opening) on major holidays in 2026 (especially National Day September 2nd and October 10th).

Based on the review of city departments and agencies and units, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the City People's Committee summarizes and reports to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on the List of projects and works expected to start construction and be inaugurated in 2026.

Accordingly, there are 16 works and projects, including 11 projects inaugurated and technically opened to traffic and 5 projects started on September 2nd.

Among the 11 projects and inauguration works (technical openings), there are the Ring Road 1 Construction Investment Project, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section and 10 urgent public investment projects in the field of drainage and flood control.

This is a group of projects of important significance to the capital's infrastructure. In which, the Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section is the last route to close the Ring Road 1 system; the drainage project group has been effective in recent rains.

5 projects and works started include: Component Project 2 - Investment in the construction of Ring Road 3.5, Phuc La - Van Phu section to Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway under the Project to invest in the construction of Ring Road 3.5, Phuc La - Van Phu section to Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway; Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City existing railway line project, Phu Xuyen - Ngoc Hoi section, new construction of Thuong Tin station and National railway transport operation center; National railway line project, Eastern Ring Road, Ngoc Hoi - Kim Son section (section in the city); Project to invest, renovate and promote the value of the West Lake area and the landscape traffic route along West Lake in the form of public-private partnership PPP, type Construction - Transfer (BT) Contract; Multi-target urban area project in Binh Minh commune, Tam Hung commune.

This is a large project group, gradually completing the framework infrastructure system, connecting infrastructure between regions and inter-regions; at the same time, the housing project group plays a role in gradually rebuilding the city, developing and expanding the urban scope.

On October 10th, there are 9 projects and works started and inaugurated.

Among them, there are 2 projects and works inaugurated (technical opening), including: Component Project 2.1: Construction of parallel roads (urban roads) in Hanoi city under the Ring Road 4 Project - Hanoi Capital Region; Component Project 2: Investment in the construction of Ring Road 2.5 sections: Dich Vong - Duong Dinh Nghe New Urban Area; Vu Pham Ham - Tran Duy Hung; Nguy Nhu Kon Tum - Nguyen Trai.

There are 7 projects and works starting construction this occasion: Project to invest in the construction of the Safari Park complex in Ba Vi commune area and the expansion; Ho Chi Minh Park; Group of works preserving the Thang Long Imperial Citadel area (Restoring Kinh Thien Palace; Preserving the 18 Hoang Dieu archaeological area; Thang Long Imperial Palace Exhibition Area); Project to develop the cultural, commercial, entertainment, and culinary space of Vom Cau, Phung Hung; Project to invest in renovating, embellishing, restructuring, and restructuring the space of Hoan Kiem Lake area and its vicinity; Component project 1: Project to invest in the construction of collection systems and wastewater treatment plants in the Cau Bay river basin; Vinh Hung urban renovation, embellishment, and reconstruction project.
