Quang Ninh - On January 17, the Trade Union of the Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board held its 1st Congress, term 2026-2030.

The Congress was attended by 110 delegates, representing 487 union members in the entire unit.

The Congress is of great significance, marking the official establishment of the Ha Long - Yen Tu Bay World Heritage Management Board Trade Union on the basis of merging trade unions of units, including: Ha Long Bay Management Board, Provincial Monuments and Scenes Management Board and the Department of Officials and Employees of Bai Tu Long National Park.

In the 2023-2025 period, trade union activities of units before the merger achieved many practical results. Average income ranges from 6.1 to 12.4 million VND/person/month, depending on the professional department.

The work of caring for and protecting the rights of workers is focused on. The Ha Long Bay Management Board Trade Union alone spent more than VND870 million to visit 502 union members and their sick relatives.

The creative labor emulation movement was vibrant with 73 initiatives recognized; 31 outstanding union members were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Hoang Thi Hong Phan - Vice President of the Provincial Labor Federation - acknowledged and highly appreciated the results that the unit's Trade Union has achieved in the past term.

It is recommended that in the new term, the Trade Union continue to promote its role as a representative, caregiver, and defender of the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers; promote practical emulation movements, associated with professional tasks.

Mr. Mai Vu Tuan - Party Secretary, Head of the Ha Long Bay World Heritage Management Board - Yen Tu suggested that cadres, civil servants, and workers constantly improve their qualifications, promote the spirit of solidarity and discipline, and meet the requirements of tasks in the new period. The trade union needs to clearly affirm its role as a reliable support for workers, contributing positively to the professional efficiency of the unit.

For the 2026-2030 term, with the action slogan "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the unit's Trade Union set out key goals associated with the arrangement of the apparatus and digital transformation.

Specifically, strive for 100% of civil servants and employees to study and thoroughly grasp the Party's resolutions, policies and laws of the State; each year, train and introduce at least 5 outstanding union members to the Party for admission; during the entire term, there will be at least 60 technical innovation initiatives recognized by the profession.

In the spirit of democracy, the Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Trade Union, term I, consisting of 11 comrades. Mr. Nguyen Trung Hau was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Trade Union of the Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board for the 2026-2030 term.
