Taking care of Tet for Quang Ninh miners
Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV), member companies and trade unions at all levels are carefully preparing a Tet for tens of thousands of workers.
This year, TKV has devoted a significant resource to taking care of Tet for workers. According to the summary, the whole Group gave Tet gifts to 14,016 people, of which 3,500 outstanding workers received a gift of 2 million VND/person; 9,503 workers in difficult circumstances were supported with 2 million VND/person.
In particular, 1,003 cases of workers with health impairment of over 81% or relatives of workers who died due to work-related accidents since 1994 have been given VND5 million/person.
10 Labor Heroes were also given a Tet gift of 5 million VND/person by the Group, along with a TKV calendar - a small gift but containing respect for special contributions.
In parallel with giving gifts, TKV directs member units to balance finances to pay Tet bonuses to employees at the rate of 10 million VND/person; organize visits to the unit's employees and arrange shuttle buses to pick up and drop off people far from home to celebrate Tet.
It is expected that companies in Quang Ninh will arrange 511 trips of cars, including both take-off and pick-up after Tet, serving over 19,300 workers and their relatives. In addition, the Group and its units also support bus tickets for about 17,600 employees, with support levels ranging from 500,000 to 1,000,000 VND/person, with a total cost of over 11 billion VND.
For many workers, especially underground workers, this is an important source of encouragement after a year of hard work.
According to Mr. Le Thanh Xuan - Chairman of TKV Trade Union - currently, TKV Trade Union is compiling a list of disadvantaged units requesting the Group to support Binh Ngo Tet.
Up to now, TKV Trade Union has received a request from Tourism and Trading Joint Stock Company, Thanh Hoa Dinh Co Cromite Joint Stock Company, Thach Khe Iron Joint Stock Company, Mining Construction and Installation Company, Miners Transport and reception Joint Stock Company, and Coal - Mineral Hospital. It is expected that 3,534 workers in these units will be supported, with a total cost of about VND 26.6 billion. The Labor Relations and Human Resources Organization Department will develop a plan, report to the Group's leaders for consideration and specific decisions.
Not only stopping at material support, TKV also maintains the program "Miners' Tet - 2026" with the theme "Celebrating the glorious Party - Celebrating the country's innovation".
The program is scheduled to take place at 8:00 a.m. on February 6, 2026 (December 19, At Ty year) at the Hall of the Northeast Ethnic Culture and Sports Center, Tien Yen commune, Quang Ninh province. The event was held in person and online at 25 locations of units with over 1,000 employees, the main locations being hosted by Khe Cham Coal Company.
