Nearly 700 million VND to take care of Tet

News from the Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union, Da Nang City on January 7 said: The Ward Trade Union has received funding from superiors worth nearly 700 billion VND to organize Tet care for union members and workers in the ward.

From this resource, a series of practical activities are being urgently implemented by the Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union to bring benefits to the hands of workers, including: Giving gifts and shopping vouchers for "Union Tet Market"; supporting train tickets through the programs "Union Bus Tour", "Union Train" and organizing delegations to directly visit workers and laborers in difficulty at boarding houses and enterprises.

Previously, reporting at the Conference summarizing the work of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Hoa Khanh Ward in 2025, a representative of the Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union said that after implementing the arrangement of local government, the unit is currently under direct direction from the Da Nang City Labor Federation.

With a new position equivalent to the grassroots trade union, the Ward Trade Union is directly managing 65 grassroots trade unions with more than 3,000 union members and a network of 11 self-managed workers' groups in boarding houses. 2025 is considered a pivotal year when the unit has exceeded the assigned targets despite only converting the model from July 2025.

3 breakthroughs in the new year

Mr. Tra Thanh Quang - Chairman of the Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union said: In 2026, to adapt to large-scale management and increasingly high practical requirements, the Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union identified 3 key tasks of breakthrough nature.

First, the solidarity front will be expanded through the establishment of grassroots trade unions. The unit identifies propaganda and mobilization as a key step to gather workers.

The Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union will proactively expand its reach to non-state enterprises and freelance labor groups to propagate the Trade Union Law, promote the establishment of new grassroots trade unions, and implement the motto "wherever there are workers, there is a Trade Union organization".

The Hoa Khanh Ward Labor Union will take the collective labor agreement (CLA) as the center, shifting from outstanding activities to in-depth activities, considering the CLA as the most important legal tool to protect union members.

Accordingly, the Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union will focus on supporting grassroots trade unions in negotiating skills with business owners, in order to sign agreements with more favorable terms than the law on wages, bonuses and benefits. The quality of the Collective Labor Agreements will be a measure of the effectiveness of the organization's operations in the new period.

Finally, the Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union promotes digital transformation. "Faced with the pressure to manage data of more than 3,000 union members, the Ward Union has identified digital transformation as a mandatory task" - Mr. Tra Thanh Quang said.

According to Mr. Quang, 2026 will be the year that the Hoa Khanh Ward Labor Union promotes the application of information technology in union member management, digitalizes administrative processes and deploys online interaction channels. This helps the flow of information between the Ward Union and the workers to be smooth, fast and accurate.
