Taking care of Tet for workers through 4 specific programs
The Vietnam Education Trade Union has just issued a plan to care for union members and workers during the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo with 4 specific care programs.
Accordingly, the Education Trade Union directed its affiliated units to deploy a variety of forms, creating a peak period of care and support for union members and workers. In particular, pay attention to and support those in difficult circumstances, affected by natural disasters, and those with serious illnesses.
Specific care activities include: Organizing the "Tet Sum Vay" Program according to conditions and in accordance with the practical situation of agencies and units; mobilizing social resources, especially from peer-level expertise to care for and support union members and workers. Organize or participate in the "Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" Program. Organize and coordinate the organization of visits, gifts, and New Year greetings to union members and workers in difficult circumstances during the Lunar New Year, especially union members and workers in difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, and those who have been severely affected by natural disasters; those who are owed wages and bonuses; union members and workers from policy families, ethnic minorities, and those who have not had the opportunity to return home for Tet for many years; union members and workers who stay at their units to work, produce, and do business during the Lunar New Year. Organizing the "Union Meal" for the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, the value of the meals in the "Union Meal" reached 70,000 VND/meal from the union's financial resources and from professional funding or socialized sources.
In addition, the Education Trade Union directs units to propagate and mobilize union members and workers to celebrate Tet and Spring economically and safely, comply with legal regulations and return to work on time.
For national university trade unions and regional universities under the Vietnam Education Trade Union, based on the proposal of the affiliated grassroots trade union and based on the regular revenue and expenditure estimates approved by the Vietnam Education Trade Union, units will prepare a budget to care for union members and workers under their direct management; the maximum care level is 1,000,000 VND/person, paid in cash from the trade union's financial resources.
