Quang Ninh will give more than 256,000 Tet gifts
Quang Ninh plans to allocate more than 141 billion VND to give over 256,000 gifts, taking care of people's lives, policy beneficiaries and forces on duty during Tet.
Of which, the province plans to spend nearly 24.3 billion VND to implement Resolution No. 418/NQ-CP dated December 28, 2025 of the Government on giving gifts to the Party and State on the occasion of the 14th National Congress of the Party and the Lunar New Year 2026 to people with revolutionary contributions, social protection beneficiaries, social retirees and other vulnerable groups, with a support level of 400,000 VND/person.
Of the remaining VND 113.3 billion, the province has arranged nearly 195,600 gifts to implement social security policies, taking care of the material and spiritual life of the people during Tet.
The province also spent over 3 billion VND to visit, give gifts, and encourage forces on duty during Tet.
The gift-giving work is expected to be completed before February 10 (ie December 23).
The program is an activity to concretize Resolution No. 83/2025/NQ-HDND dated November 14, 2025 of the Provincial People's Council, regulating the giving of gifts to social policy beneficiaries and some other beneficiaries on the occasion of the Lunar New Year every year in the province for the period 2026-2030.
According to the Resolution, there are 18 groups of beneficiaries, such as: Heroes of Labor in the renovation period; households with soldiers on duty in extremely difficult areas, Truong Sa archipelago and DK1 houses; party members aged 60 years or more; people receiving monthly social pension benefits; people aged 70 and over; people receiving unemployment benefits...
