Announcing the merger and reorganization of military agencies
According to Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang, the adjustment of the organization and forces of the Army is inevitably objective, in line with reality.
This afternoon (5.3), General Phan Van Giang - Member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of Defense - chaired the ceremony to announce the decision to merge and reorganize agencies under the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff of the People's Army (People's Army) of Vietnam and the General Department of Politics of the People's Army of Vietnam.
Attending the ceremony were Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the General Department of Politics of the People's Army of Vietnam; General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, General Staff of the People's Army of Vietnam, Deputy Minister of Defense.
Speaking to direct and assign tasks to agencies and units, on behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang said that from 2021 to 2024, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense have focused on leadership and direction, and to date, the Vietnam People's Army organization has been basically streamlined, compact, strong, and 1 year ahead of schedule compared to Resolution No. 05-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
Implementing the conclusion of the Steering Committee to summarize the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Central Government, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of Defense reported the Politburo plan to continue adjusting and arranging the army.
In which, adjusting and rearranging a number of agencies, merging the Department of Finance, the Department of Planning and Investment, the Department of Economic, reorganized into the Department of Finance; Merging the National Defense Strategy Institute and the Military History Institute, reorganizing into a Vietnam National Defense Strategy and History Institute; merging the Map Department and the Department of War, reorganized into the Department of War; Merging social insurance of the Ministry of Defense and the Department of Policy, reorganizing into the Department of Social Policy.
According to General Phan Van Giang, the adjustment of the organization, the military force is indispensable, in accordance with the reality, and at the same time shows new thinking, new vision on adjusting the organization of the army, meeting the requirements of the cause of building, consolidating national defense and defending the Fatherland.
The Minister of National Defense requested Party committees, commanders at all levels and officers, soldiers and employees to have a deep, complete and correct awareness of the position and significance of merging and reorganizing agencies; determine determination, strongly "break through", overcome difficulties, complete assigned tasks well; build a comprehensively strong "exemplary, typical" agency, maintain and promote the achievements of agencies and units in the past time.
Agencies and units quickly stabilize the organization of staffing, assignment, and assignment of specific tasks; perfecting organizations, implementing activities in accordance with their functions and tasks; building strong organizations, excellently completing all assigned tasks.
In particular, the Minister of Defense directs the newly merged and reorganized agencies to well perform the preparation and successful organization of the Party Congress at all levels; Building the Party committees and party organizations is really clean and strong, taking care of building a contingent of cadres and employees who are capable of completing the immediate and long -term tasks, ensuring solid inheritance and development.
