Hanoi Chairman has new duties

On April 17, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a decision on the establishment of a Working Group to assist the Steering Committee in developing a project to reorganize commune-level administrative units in Hanoi.

The working group also includes members who are directors of city departments and branches.

The Steering Committee's Working Group is an inter-sectoral coordination organization with the function of assisting the Chairman of the City People's Committee in researching, organizing implementation, coordinating and solving important, inter-sectoral issues in the implementation of the arrangement and reorganization of commune-level administrative units and building a model of organizing local government at 2 levels under the city according to the Central Government's request.

The working group is responsible for researching and proposing to the Chairman of the City People's Committee directions and solutions to solve important, inter-sectoral problems in the implementation of the arrangement and reorganization of commune-level administrative units and building a model of organizing local government at 2 levels under the city according to the requirements of the Central Government.

The working group helps the Chairman of the City People's Committee organize the implementation of urging departments, branches and sectors under the city and the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities in the implementation process, ensuring compliance with the regulations of the Central Government.

This decision takes effect from the date of signing and promulgation.
