Vinh Long establishes Phuoc Hau Ward Trade Union with more than 3,200 union members

Vinh Long - The Provincial Labor Federation announced the decision to establish Phuoc Hau Ward Trade Union with more than 3,200 union members and appoint an interim Executive Committee.

On May 14, the Standing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) held a conference to announce the decision to establish the Phuoc Hau Ward Trade Union and appoint the Provisional Executive Committee. This is a new trade union organization model, aimed at strengthening the connection between the Trade Union organization and workers at the grassroots level.

According to Decision No. 169/QD-LDLD, Phuoc Hau Ward Trade Union was established on the basis of merging 3,260 trade union members, belonging to 23 grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) and trade unions operating in the area. The composition of union members is diverse, spreading in many fields such as health, water supply, education and services.

Ms. Tran Ngoc Tran Chau - Specialist of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phuoc Hau Ward holds the position of Vice Chairman of the Ward Trade Union, Chairman of the Inspection Committee.

Speaking to direct at the conference, Ms. Le Thi Kim Chi - Standing Vice President of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation congratulated the establishment of Phuoc Hau Ward Trade Union.

At the same time, it is proposed that the Provisional Executive Committee quickly stabilize the organization, build operating regulations, strengthen the management of union members and prepare conditions to proceed to organize the 1st Ward Trade Union Congress within a period of no more than 12 months.

On behalf of the Executive Committee, Mr. Nguyen Minh Quan - Chairman of Phuoc Hau Ward Trade Union expressed his honor at being trusted. Also on May 14, Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation continued to organize a ceremony to announce the decision to establish Long Chau Ward Trade Union. This unit has a scale of 5,692 union members, operating in 29 member grassroots trade unions. Here, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Chau Ward was appointed to hold the position of Chairwoman of Long Chau Ward Trade Union.
