Tay Ninh establishes 2 more grassroots unions

At Bo Wei Textile Co., Ltd. (Vietnam) - a 100% foreign-invested enterprise with 50 employees, the Mobilization Committee has effectively implemented propaganda work on the rights and interests of union members, mobilizing all 50 workers to join the union.

The Congress elected an Executive Committee of 3 members, of which Ms. Dang Thi Tieu Nhan was elected as Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union.

At BAF Tay Ninh Livestock Food Company Limited, with 150 employees, the Mobilization Committee mobilized 52 people to voluntarily apply to join the union. The Congress elected the Executive Committee of 3 members, of which Ms. Huynh Thi Ngoc Han was elected as Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union.

Speaking at the two congresses, Mr. Nguyen Trong Danh - Deputy Head of the Tay Ninh Industrial Park Trade Union acknowledged and praised the efforts of the Mobilization Committee as well as the consensus and proactive spirit of the workers. At the same time, he emphasized that the establishment of grassroots trade unions is an important first step for workers to be better protected and have a voice in building a safe and progressive working environment.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Danh suggested that the new grassroots trade unions soon stabilize their organization; proactively coordinate with the Board of Directors of enterprises in legal propaganda, periodic dialogues, practical care for workers; train a team of union officials with sufficient courage and capacity, contributing to building harmonious, stable and developing labor relations.
