Tay Ninh establishes grassroots trade unions in 2 foreign-invested enterprises

Attending and directing the Congress were Mr. Nguyen Trong Danh - Deputy Head of the Tay Ninh Industrial Park Trade Union, representatives of enterprise leaders and all workers of the two units.

Jinhua Zinc Technology Co., Ltd. (Vietnam) is a foreign-invested enterprise, operating in the field of zinc oxide alloy production to serve the tire manufacturing, healthcare and semiconductor industries. Currently, the enterprise has 42 employees (including 11 female employees) who have voluntarily applied to join the trade union organization.

The Organizing Committee for the establishment of grassroots trade unions held a Congress in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union. At the Congress, union members elected Mr. Phan Khac Huy - Assistant General Director to hold the position of Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union for the first term.

Wanhong International Company Limited has 100% foreign investment capital, operating in Thanh Thanh Cong Industrial Park (Trang Bang Ward). Here, 38 workers have voluntarily joined the union. The Congress was established solemnly, democratically, and in accordance with the procedures; as a result, Mr. Tran Chi Hai - in charge of the personnel department was elected as Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trong Danh congratulated the two newly established enterprises and union members, and emphasized: The establishment of grassroots unions at FDI enterprises is an important milestone, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations. The Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union needs to soon stabilize the organization, proactively coordinate with employers to take good care of the material and spiritual life of union members and workers; at the same time, actively propagate and encourage workers who have not joined the trade union to participate in the organization".
