Lao Cai establishes 2 grassroots trade unions at enterprises
Lao Cai On the afternoon of January 9, the Trade Union Committee of industrial parks and economic zones of the province held a conference to announce the decision to establish 2 grassroots trade unions.
The conference was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairwoman of the Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD); representatives of Lao Cai Provincial Police; Board of Directors and a large number of employees of the two enterprises.
At the conference, representatives of the Trade Union Committees of industrial parks and economic zones of Lao Cai province announced the decisions to establish grassroots trade unions (CDCS), and appointed temporary executive boards at the two enterprises.


Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem congratulated the grassroots trade unions on officially joining the Lao Cai Provincial Trade Union, and highly appreciated the coordination and support of the Board of Directors of the two enterprises in establishing the trade union organization and taking care of the regime and welfare for workers.
The Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor requested the Provisional Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union to promptly improve the organization, develop coordination regulations with the Board of Directors; proactively negotiate and sign Collective Labor Agreements, promote the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.

The establishment of new grassroots trade unions not only contributes to strengthening the trade union organization in enterprises but also creates conditions for workers to participate in emulation movements, improve skills, build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations, towards sustainable development of enterprises.
The launching ceremony is also an opportunity for workers to raise awareness of the rights and obligations of union members, enhance their sense of solidarity and responsibility, contributing to building a safe, friendly working environment and a healthy corporate culture.



On this occasion, the working group presented gifts to union members in difficult circumstances, encouraged workers to work with peace of mind and strive to improve their lives.
