Hanoi has 35 more grassroots trade unions

According to the Decision of the Hanoi Labor Federation, these grassroots trade unions have legal status, are allowed to use their own seals, are allowed to open accounts at banks, and perform tasks and powers according to the provisions of law and the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.

The establishment of new grassroots trade unions aims to expand the network of Trade Union organizations at the grassroots level and especially to create conditions for workers to participate in activities in an official representative organization with sufficient legal authority to protect their own rights.

This is also an important basis to strengthen dialogue, collective bargaining, and build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations at units and businesses.

According to Mr. Le Dinh Hung - Standing Vice Chairman of the City Labor Federation, the establishment of 35 grassroots trade unions with more than 6,500 union members continues to show the great efforts of the City Labor Federation in developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions, and bringing the Trade Union organization closer to workers in all types of units.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the City Labor Federation affirmed: "The Capital Trade Union is not only a place to gather and unite workers, civil servants, and laborers, but also a solid support for workers to feel secure in their work and be attached to units and businesses for a long time. Each grassroots trade union established needs to quickly stabilize its organization, build operating regulations, promote its representative role, strengthen dialogue, and provide practical care for union members.
