Caring for 984,000 union members in difficult circumstances

The 1st Dong Nai Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, took place over 2 days, December 29 and 30, with the participation of 370 outstanding delegates, representing nearly 742,000 union members.

In the period of 2023-2025, Dong Nai Trade Union will continue to affirm its role as an organization representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers. Trade unions at all levels have proactively innovated the content and methods of operation, closely following the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, while linking with practical requirements at enterprises and units.

The whole province has signed 431 new agreements, bringing the total number of existing collective labor agreements to 1,384/1,690 grassroots trade unions (81.9%).

Trade Unions at all levels and Trade Union Legal Consulting Centers have directly provided legal advice to 16,466 people, provided legal support through drafting petitions for 4,118 workers; participated in protecting or sending representatives to participate in litigation for 5,058 people. As a result, workers have received VND10.3 billion in compensation and support...

Caring work has become a highlight of the Dong Nai Provincial Trade Union. As a result, 984,000 employees in difficult circumstances, serious illnesses, and serious work-related accidents have been cared for.

Current development increases 30,000 union members

Trade unions at all levels in the province organize activities to care for Tet for over 600,000 employees, care for employees in difficult circumstances, serious illnesses, serious work accidents... with a level of 200,000 VND to 2 million VND/gift, through activities "Tet Sum Vay", family meetings of employees in difficult circumstances, "Happy Tet with workers", "New Year's Eve for workers away from home" ...

The "Union Meal" program has had 297 enterprise trade unions organize for 434,637 employees, each meal is worth from 31,000 VND to 120,000 VND, an amount of over 14 billion VND; all levels of the Trade Union have focused on supporting employees with difficult housing circumstances from the province to the grassroots with 189 newly built and repaired houses worth 10 billion VND.

Trade unions at all levels have effectively organized a movement to honor employees' children "Good at studying, good at living", 324,213 employees' children were honored and rewarded for their academic and training achievements, with a total reward fund of over 100 billion VND; The organization awarded nearly 24,000 scholarships to employees' children in difficult circumstances who have achieved high academic achievements. The total cost of care activities is nearly 123 billion VND.

For the 2025 - 2030 term, Dong Nai trade unions at all levels strive to increase the number of union members by 30,000 union members each year. Strive to reach 900,000 union members or more by the end of the term.

Through emulation movements of trade unions, strive to have at least 38,000 initiatives of employees applied in production, business and work activities; At least 75% of labor cases filed at the Court are supported by trade unions, participating in litigation and protection when union members request.
