Announcing the decision to establish the first ward and commune trade union in Nghe An

Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong - Vice President of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation; Mr. Hoang Sy Cuong - Permanent Deputy Secretary of Vinh Phu Ward Party Committee; and leaders of affiliated grassroots unions.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong presented the Decision to establish Vinh Phu Ward Trade Union. Accordingly, this organization is under the Provincial Federation of Labor, consisting of 39 grassroots unions with a total of 6,075 union members. The ward trade union will fully perform its functions, tasks and powers according to the regulations of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the instructions of the Provincial Labor Federation.

The conference announced the decision to appoint the Vinh Phu Ward Trade Union Executive Committee consisting of 3 comrades; the Standing Committee and the Inspection Committee are all made up of 3 comrades. Ms. Tran Le Thi - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phu Ward was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Vinh Phu Ward Trade Union.

Speaking at the conference, Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Chi Cong congratulated the Executive Committee for its launch, and emphasized the significance of the establishment of Vinh Phu Ward Trade Union - the first unit in the process of arranging and perfecting the commune/ward trade union organization.

He shared the initial difficulties when pioneering but also expressed his belief in the spirit of initiative, responsibility, and promoting the core role of the union staff at the grassroots level. At the same time, he hopes that local leaders will continue to pay attention and create conditions for the trade union to operate effectively and substantially.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Hoang Sy Cuong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Vinh Phu Ward Party Committee expressed his joy when the event of announcing the establishment of the trade union coincided with the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025).

He highly appreciated the quantity and quality of the affiliated grassroots trade unions and believed that the Vinh Phu Ward Trade Union would promote its role as a representative, caretaker, and protector of the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. At the same time, he suggested that the trade union focus on building an increasingly strong organization, creating conditions for the development of Party members among the trade union members.

Closing the conference, Ms. Tran Le Thi - Chairman of Vinh Phu Ward Trade Union thanked the leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation and local authorities for their attention and direction.

She affirmed that she will seriously accept the instructions, and at the same time call on grassroots union officials to change their thinking and creativity in their working methods, promote a sense of responsibility and dedication so that union activities can truly spread, attract a large number of union members to participate, and contribute to improving the lives and spirit of local workers.
