Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation strengthens coordination with the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, Mr. Le Tien Tri - Head of Southeast Economic Zone Management Board, and representatives of the leaders of the professional departments of the two units.

According to the content of the Regulation, the two sides agreed to coordinate in a spirit of respect, equality, democracy, publicity, and creating favorable conditions for each side to perform well its functions and tasks. The goal is to contribute to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations, promoting production and business development, maintaining political security, order and social safety in the region.

The coordination content includes many key areas: propaganda and dissemination of labor laws; free legal advice and support for employees; coordination in monitoring and inspecting compliance with the law at enterprises; building grassroots trade unions; resolving labor disputes and strikes; organizing activities to care for the material and spiritual lives of employees...

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation informed about the arrangement and streamlining of the provincial Trade Union apparatus. At the same time, he emphasized that currently, the labor force in industrial parks and economic zones is increasingly large, requiring coordination between trade union organizations and state management agencies to be more closely and effectively, promptly resolving arising issues related to workers' rights.

One of the key contents of the Regulation is to coordinate propaganda and mobilize the establishment of trade unions in enterprises, especially newly established enterprises that do not have representative organizations for workers. The Southeast Economic Zone Management Board will provide updated information on the performance of enterprises and projects being implemented for the Provincial Labor Federation to serve as a basis for mobilizing and developing union members.

In addition, the two units also closely coordinate in supervising enterprises in implementing labor regulations, salary, bonus, social insurance, occupational safety and hygiene regimes, as well as organizing labor conferences and periodic dialogues at the workplace. When labor disputes and strikes arise, the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board and the Provincial Labor Federation will proactively coordinate with competent authorities to promptly resolve them, ensuring the legitimate rights of workers and stabilizing production activities of enterprises.

The two sides also agreed to mobilize social resources to organize cultural and sports activities, improve the spiritual life of workers and laborers; at the same time, coordinate the implementation of trade union institutions such as housing, kindergartens, trade union supermarkets... to build a stable and sustainable working environment.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Le Tien Tri - Head of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board congratulated the Vietnam Trade Union's founding day, and informed about the situation of attracting investment, building harmonious and stable labor relations, aiming to ensure the rights and responsibilities of business owners towards workers in the Southeast Economic Zone.

Mr. Le Tien Tri said: "We highly appreciate the support of the trade union organization in the past time. The signing of this Regulation will be an important legal basis for continuing to coordinate more closely and effectively, together aiming at the goal of sustainable development of the Southeast Economic Zone and Industrial Parks in the area".

According to the agreement, every 6 months, the two sides will organize an assessment of implementation results, information, and exchange of labor and trade union activities at enterprises; propose solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in practice. The results of the coordination will be reported to the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies for joint supervision and support.
