Focus on establishing grassroots trade unions in economic sectors

The first Congress, term 2025 - 2030, of the Viet Hung Ward Trade Union is the Congress of the Commune and Ward Trade Union of the Hanoi City Labor Federation.

Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Lan Huong - Non-professional Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City; Member of the Presidium, Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Le Dinh Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Permanent Vice President in charge of the City Labor Federation...; Chairman of the Trade Union of 86 communes and wards in the City.

At the Congress, delegates discussed grassroots trade unions in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers at the unit; Innovation in content and form of propaganda on the implementation of Directive 05 of the Politburo on "Promoting the study and practice of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" associated with the two sets of codes of conduct of the Hanoi People's Committee; Promoting the role and responsibility of union members' intellectuals in applying digital transformation, contributing to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for the people.

In addition, according to the Report on synthesizing and contributing opinions to the Draft Political Report of the Hanoi City Labor Federation Executive Committee for the 17th time submitted to the 18th Hanoi City Trade Union Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term, delegates highly agreed with the draft report and shared comments: The report was prepared in a thorough, scientific manner, with a tight and reasonable layout, clearly presented, the content of the assessment of the results correctly and frankly pointed out the limitations, shortcomings and causes, summarizing and drawing out 5 lessons learned after 3 years of implementing the Resolution of the 17th National Congress; at the same time, clearly identifying the goals, targets, tasks and solutions of the 2025 - 2030 term.

However, to make the Report more complete and practical, many opinions suggested that some additional contents should be added. In particular, the assessment of the quality of grassroots trade union activities after the organization arrangement needs to clarify the advantages and difficulties when the City Labor Federation directly manages more than 6,000 grassroots trade unions, and at the same time reflect the solutions to support and supervise weak grassroots trade unions to ensure effective operations...

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong - Non-professional Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City requested that the Viet Hung Ward Trade Union continue to innovate the content and methods of operation in accordance with the new organizational model, promoting its role as a reliable representative of union members and workers; the Trade Union must truly be a support, a common home for union members.

Focus on implementing union membership work well, from developing new union members, establishing grassroots unions in economic sectors, managing union members to improving the quality of union members...

According to the Decision of the City Labor Federation, the Executive Committee of the Viet Hung Ward Trade Union, Term I, 2025 - 2030, was appointed to include 11 people, Mr. Vu Hoang Long as Chairman of the Viet Hung Ward Trade Union; the Inspection Committee consists of 4 people. The Congress also appointed 2 delegates to attend the 18th Hanoi City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the "For the cause of building the Vietnam Trade Union" Medal to individuals who have made many outstanding contributions to building and developing the Trade Union organization.
