HCMC establishes 51 new grassroots unions at enterprises and units

HCMC - In the third quarter of 2025, the HCMC Labor Federation has mobilized the establishment of 51 new grassroots unions in enterprises and units and admitted more than 4,820 union members.

According to the City Labor Federation, in the third quarter of 2025, it was decided to establish 145/168 trade unions in wards, communes and special zones, basically meeting the two criteria for establishing trade union organizations according to current regulations.

The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation has also established working groups with the Standing Committee as the Head of the delegation working with the Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of wards, communes and special zones on the development of union members, establishment of grassroots unions and trade union activities in the locality. Thereby, exchanging and agreeing on leadership solutions for implementation, contributing to the completion of the target of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions according to Resolution 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo.

On that basis, Ho Chi Minh City trade unions at all levels have propagated, mobilized and admitted 4,821 union members; mobilized the establishment of 51 new grassroots trade unions in enterprises and units in the city.

The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation also organized a training conference on professional skills for 139 union officials of wards, communes, and special zones, exchanging and sharing the difficulties and problems of units in the new operational period when there are no direct superior unions at the grassroots level.

At the same time, implement a plan to organize training in trade union theory and professional skills for ward, commune and special zone trade union officials and coordinate with educational institutions in the city to organize training courses and professional development for trade union officials.
