In the first 6 months of 2026, the Vietnam Education Union developed 594 union members

On July 2nd, the Vietnam Education Union (CĐGD) said that the CĐGD currently manages 43,381 union members belonging to 74 affiliated trade unions.

The work of developing union members and establishing grassroots-level trade unions in 2026 has been concerned and directed by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Education Union at all levels for implementation. The Vietnam Education Union has issued documents (Decision No. 177/QD-CDGD dated February 27, 2026 on consolidating the Steering Committee for developing union members and establishing grassroots-level trade unions of the Education Union; Official Dispatch No. 83/CDGD-QHLĐ dated April 16, 2026 on deploying the peak month of union member development; introducing outstanding union members to the Party for consideration, fostering, admission and assigning targets for union member development in 2026).

The TU regularly urges affiliated trade unions to update information, situations, and directions from higher-level trade unions on organizational work and union member development work; update the situation of staff, changes in the number of union members, officials, teachers, and employees (CBNGNLĐ) at units in the form of online via the TU website or through fast reporting channels using information technology effectively, creating synchronous and timely intercommunication to each level of trade union.

In the first 6 months of 2026, the CĐGD has developed 594 union members. Also in the first 6 months of the year, the CĐGD has maintained and integrated the inspection and supervision of the implementation of grassroots democracy, together with the inspection team of the CĐGD Inspection Committee to inspect and supervise at the trade unions of affiliated units to review obstacles and difficulties in the implementation of the Grassroots Democracy Regulation and issues directly related to the legitimate rights and interests of CBNGNLĐ.
