Emulation bloc of Central Industry Trade Unions signs emulation agreement in 2026

The event was attended by Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL); representatives of the leaders of central industry unions.

After rearranging the clusters and emulation blocks of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Emulation Bloc of Central Trade Unions was merged on the basis of Emulation Bloc No. 1 (Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union, Vietnam Construction Trade Union, Vietnam Agricultural and Environmental Trade Union, Vietnam Industry and Trade Union, Vietnam Bank Trade Union) and Emulation Bloc No. 2 (People's Public Security Trade Union, Vietnam Health Trade Union, Vietnam Education Trade Union, National Defense Trade Union). Currently, 9 central industry unions manage 3,570 grassroots unions with over 889,000 union members.

The 2025 trade union activities of the units of the Central Industry Trade Union Emulation Bloc have closely followed the key tasks of the Ministries, branches, fields and the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Trade unions at all levels focus on performing the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers. Emulation movements continue to be promoted; the trade union organization is streamlined in the direction of streamlining, efficiency, and applying science and technology in trade union activities.

Regarding care and social security, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, units in the Block organized support activities and visited more than 144,960 union members and workers with a total amount of over 112.2 billion VND, implemented the program "Union Tet Market", supported people affected by natural disasters, floods...

Regarding the organization of activities for Workers' Month and Action Month on Labor Safety and Hygiene in 2025, units in the Bloc organized Union Meals and many meaningful programs such as: "Creative Workers, firmly entering the new era", "5th Workers' Dialogue", "Creative Labor Festival" ...; Peak month for developing union members, establishing grassroots unions; 9 central industry unions introduced the development of workers' party members, resulting in developing 33,750 new union members, establishing 65 new grassroots unions, introducing 8,693 outstanding union members, and admitting 6,226 new Party members.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Ha Xuyen - Chairman of the Vietnam Agriculture and Environment Trade Union said that in the coming time, the Vietnam Agriculture and Environment Trade Union will promote innovation emulation, improve the quality of staff and optimize system governance in the new situation. Union activities must be closely linked to professional tasks, aiming at the goal of sustainable agricultural and rural development to maximize efficiency and create real value for workers, said Mr. Xuyen.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor acknowledged and praised the outstanding efforts and results that the units of the Bloc have achieved in 2025.

2026 is a great opportunity for us to make a breakthrough. I suggest that comrades need to prepare a proactive mindset, turn the resolutions into specific action programs, and take the effectiveness of the emulation movement as a measure of the development of the organization and the interests of workers. I suggest that comrades in the coming time prepare well to promote the emulation movement, towards practical activities", Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan directed.

The Conference held the signing ceremony of the emulation covenant in 2026; expressing gratitude and giving gifts to former Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of Central Trade Unions.
