At the second working session held on the morning of December 29, the 1st Can Tho City Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, listened to a summary report on the results of Trade Union activities and the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers, period 2023-2025.
The care work of trade unions at all levels continues to be expanded, practical, timely and innovative, meeting the needs of union members and workers. In total, 289,239 union members and employees were cared for and supported during the Lunar New Year, with an amount of over 125 billion VND. Third, the Trade Union needs to participate proactively and actively in improving the quality of the city's human resources, contributing to realizing the goals of Resolution 59-NQ/TW dated August 5, 2020 on building and developing Can Tho City to 2030, with a vision to 2045 and the Resolution of the first City Party Congress.
Can Tho Trade Union needs to promote the building of an electronic Trade Union model; deploy a digital platform to manage union members, receive feedback, and provide legal support quickly; Strengthen digital communication, interact online with union members; Apply technology in surveying, assessing needs, and implementing care programs. The trade union must be a leading organization in digital transformation to not only adapt but also lead, orient and better serve members and employees.
Fourth, pay attention to the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions, especially in non-state enterprises and informal labor. Consider this an important, regular and urgent task for the Trade Union organization, with profound political significance, demonstrating the role of the Trade Union in contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution No. 68 of the Politburo on private economic development.
