Nam Can Tho University Trade Union spends more than 1.9 billion VND to take care of union members

On October 30, the Trade Union of Nam Can Tho University held its 3rd Congress, term 2025-2030. This is an important political event, marking a new step in the development of the Trade Union organization in the school.

Over the past term, the staff, lecturers and staff of the University have been continuously consolidated and developed in terms of quantity, quality and structure, meeting the requirements of comprehensive innovation in higher education and the school's sustainable development orientation in the period of extensive international integration.

The work of caring for the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers (Union members, Workers) has been regularly and effectively implemented by the school and the Trade Union. Income, welfare regimes, working conditions and pedagogical environment are increasingly improved, creating motivation for each cadre, lecturer, and employee to work with peace of mind, stay long-term and promote professional capacity.

During her term, the school's Trade Union spent more than 1.9 billion VND on activities to care for union members such as giving Tet gifts, gifts 8,3, 1,6, 20, etc.; visiting sick people, parties, giving birth, birthdays; purchasing accident insurance, supporting periodic health check-ups and organizing tours and tours.... In addition, supporting 110 union members to borrow un rented capital to serve their studies, improve their qualifications, with a total cost of 1.6 billion VND.

The collective of union members and employees is always united, united, and actively responding to emulation movements launched by the Union and the school, typically "Good teaching - Good learning", "Good work, creative work", "Innovation - Creativity in teaching and learning", "Green - Clean - Beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene", and many cultural - artistic, physical education - sports, and charity activities for the community.

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation - acknowledged and highly appreciated the comprehensive and outstanding efforts and results that the Trade Union of Nam Can Tho University has achieved.

In the context of the school entering a period of strong development, deep integration with the whole country and internationally, the Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation suggested that the unit's trade unions need to accompany the school in innovation and improving training quality; Building a modern, professional, close Trade Union, promptly grasping the thoughts, aspirations and removing difficulties for union members; Promoting the emulation movement of linking training - research - serving the community, ...

The Congress elected 11 comrades to the Executive Committee of the new school's Trade Union; elected 1 official delegate and 1 alternate delegate to attend the 1st Can Tho City Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030. Comrade Nguyen Tri Dat was elected as Chairman of the Trade Union of Nam Can Tho University for the 2025-2030 term.
