Account suddenly receives money from a stranger, man reports to police
Quang Tri - Discovering a bank account suddenly receiving money from a stranger, a resident in Cua Tung commune reported it to the police to return it to its owner.
On the afternoon of August 3, Lieutenant Colonel Le Duc Dong - Head of Cua Tung Commune Police (Quang Tri province) confirmed that the unit had just supported a resident to return 65 million VND due to another person's mistaken transfer.
Previously, on August 3, Mr. Nguyen Tung Son (born in 1995, residing in Tung Luat village, Cua Tung commune) came to Cua Tung Commune Police to report that his bank account suddenly received 65 million VND from an unknown account.
After receiving information, Cua Tung Commune Police proceeded to verify and determined that the above amount belonged to Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lua (born in 1989, residing in Tan Thoi Hiep ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
According to the police agency, Ms. Lua mistakenly transferred 65 million VND to Mr. Son's account due to negligence in the process of carrying out bank transactions.
After verifying the information of the parties, Cua Tung Commune Police instructed Mr. Son to return the full amount of 65 million VND to Ms. Lua.
Mr. Son's proactive reporting when receiving money through an account of unknown origin has helped the police agency quickly verify and return the property to the correct owner.
