Merging 4 mass associations into the Quang Ninh Provincial Red Cross Society

Accordingly, the Provincial Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans, the Provincial Association for the Blind, the Provincial Association for Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin and the Provincial Traditional Medicine Association merged into the Quang Ninh Provincial Red Cross Society.

According to the decision, within 30 days from the date the decision takes effect, the merged associations are responsible for completing the transfer of assets, finances, organizations, personnel and related rights and obligations to the Provincial Red Cross Society; and at the same time terminating operations and returning seals to competent authorities as prescribed.

The Provincial Red Cross Society inherits the legitimate rights and interests regarding assets and finances of the merged associations; and at the same time fulfills obligations related to debts, financial obligations and service contracts that are still in effect according to the provisions of law.

The Provincial People's Committee also requested the Provincial Red Cross Society to organize a congress and report on the implementation results according to the provisions of Decree No. 126/2024/ND-CP of the Government.

The merger of associations into the Provincial Red Cross Society aims to implement the policy of arranging and streamlining the organizational structure, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the activities of mass associations. Thereby, focusing resources, strengthening coordination in humanitarian work, care, protection and support for vulnerable groups, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.
