Handing over "Loving Home" to a grandmother raising 3 grandchildren alone
Da Nang - A new solid house has just been handed over to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao, the main breadwinner who is raising 3 grandchildren alone.
The Women's Union of Tam Ky ward, Da Nang has just handed over the "Loving Home" project to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao, residing in Block 6.
Ms. Thao is the main breadwinner in the family, taking care of and raising 3 grandchildren alone. Previously, the 4 grandmothers and grandchildren lived in an old house that had seriously deteriorated, posing many potential safety risks, especially during the rainy and storm season.
After a period of construction, the new spacious and solid house has been completed with a total construction cost of 75 million VND. The project is implemented from the sponsorship of Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB), along with the mobilized source of the Ward Women's Union.
At the handover ceremony, Ms. Thao emotionally expressed her gratitude for the concern of the local government, the Ward Women's Union, the Party cell committee, the military-civilian government of Block 6 and the sponsoring unit. For her, the house is not only a place to shelter from rain and sun, but also a fulcrum for the 4 grandmothers and grandchildren to feel secure and stabilize their lives.
The "Loving Home" project is a practical activity in response to 51 days of peak action to celebrate the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the 14th National Congress of Women, term 2026 - 2031.
