Mr. Chau Van Minh holds the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations

On the morning of August 28, in Hanoi Capital, the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, term 2026 - 2031 solemnly opened.

The Congress announced the election results of the Executive Committee, Presidium, Chairman, Vice Chairmen, Inspection Committee, Head of the Inspection Committee of the IX term.

Regarding the election results of the Executive Committee, the Congress elected the Executive Committee of the IX term 2026 - 2031 according to the number, structure, and standards identified in the Personnel Project approved by competent authorities and voted through by the Congress.

As a result, 143 comrades were elected to the Executive Committee of the IX term.

Regarding the election results of the Presidium, at the first Conference of the 9th Executive Committee, the Executive Committee conducted the election of the Presidium for the term 2026 - 2031.

As a result, 24/27 comrades were elected to the 9th Presidium.

Mr. Chau Van Minh, former member of the Party Central Committee, non-specialized Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, National Assembly deputy of the XVI term, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations of the IX term, term 2026 - 2031.

Mr. Ngo Dong Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, was elected to hold the position of Non-professional Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, term IX, term 2026 - 2031.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Linh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, term VIII, was elected to hold the position of Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, term IX, term 2026 - 2031.

Mr. Truong Xuan Lam, former Deputy Director of the Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, was elected to hold the position of Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, term IX, 2026 - 2031.

The Inspection Committee of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations includes 9 comrades. Mr. Pham Ngoc Linh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations was elected to hold the position of Head of the Inspection Committee of the IX term, term 2026 - 2031.

The Executive Committee of the IX term invited Mr. Dang Vu Minh, Honorary Chairman of the VIII term, to continue to hold the position of Honorary Chairman of the IX term.
