Picking up nearly 10 million VND, hospital staff find the person to return it

On May 14, Khanh Hoa General Hospital said that the unit had just commended and unexpectedly rewarded Ms. Tran Thi Diem Hang, an employee of the Finance and Accounting Department, for her beautiful action of returning property to a patient's family who forgot it at the hospital.

Previously, while moving through the corridor of the Outpatient Department, Ms. Hang discovered a yellow female handbag forgotten on the chair.

Immediately after picking it up, she proactively inquired about people around to find the owner, and at the same time coordinated with the Outpatient Department to broadcast a notice on the hospital's loudspeaker system.

When the person who dropped it had not been identified, Ms. Hang continued to hand over the handbag to the Administration and Management Department to coordinate with departments and divisions to verify information.

The owner of the bag was later identified as Ms. V.N, residing in Bac Nha Trang ward. According to Ms. N, while worried about doing procedures for hospitalization for a relative, she was negligent and forgot her handbag.

Inside the bag were a phone, personal papers and nearly 10 million VND in cash that the family had prepared to pay hospital fees and treatment for the patient.

When I received all the assets back, I was very touched and grateful to the hospital staff," Ms. N. shared.

According to a representative of Khanh Hoa General Hospital, timely commendation aims to recognize the spirit of responsibility, honesty and dedicated attitude of staff towards patients and their families.

Ms. Tran Thi Diem Hang's actions not only contribute to helping people overcome immediate difficulties but also spread a beautiful image of the culture of behavior in the medical environment.
